The Long-Term Side Effects of Being a Vegetarian
There are no long-term side effects of being a vegetarian. That is if you aren’t a hard core vegetarian. You have to eat milk and milk products. Vegetables, dairies, seeds and fruits contain lots of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and proteins. All the nutrients that your body needs on a daily basis can be taken form veggies and fruits.
Adopting a more lacto-ovo vegetarian lifestyle has many health benefits, much more many than a meat full diet. All the essential nutrients needed for a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle can be taken form a balanced vegetarian diet.
By eating lots of fruits and vegetables you will reduce the chance of getting lots of different chronic diseases. You will also increase your chance of living longer.
Studies have shown that vegetarians enjoy a lower rate of obesity, heart diseases, some cancer type, sugar diabetes and longer lifespan. Great stuff if you ask me. I will rake all of those health benefits of being a vegetarian in a blink of the eyes.
The only downside is that you have to learn how to balance your nutrition so that your body will get all the nutrients it needs daily. If not you can get some pretty nasty side effect because you eat too much of some nutrients and too less of other nutrients. The main danger is not getting enough proteins in your daily diet to ensure your recommended daily intake. There is practically no danger of not getting all the vitamins and minerals you need. That is the good part.
The first signs of an unbalanced vegetarian diet is a chronic lack of energy and tiredness. If you go all veggie and you find you are increasingly tired regardless of how much you sleep then you have a bad structured vegetarian diet.
Becoming a vegetarian doesn’t mean you don’t have to exercise anymore. Exercising frequently is a must for good health. Start jogging, even walking for 30 minutes per day is enough. If you are more wild go hit the gym.
Adopting just a little bit of the vegetarian lifestyle will have lots of health benefits for you. You don’t have to become vegetarian all the way. Just start eating more fruits and vegetables. Get a rock solid health by eating right.
