What are the benefits of becoming a vegeterian or not eating red meat anymore for your body & health?


Im not a big fan of eating meat as it is unless its poultry or seafood & I even am a little leery about that. Meat just kind of grosses me out, not to mention Im very against cruelty to animals & have seen some of the horrific videos about slaughter houses & farms w/ chickens, pigs, cows etc.

I love vegetables & fruit & could definately & I occassionally eat eggs & dairy products, but not much. Are you a vegetarian if you dont eat meat but eat dairy & egg products?

And what are the benefits for your body & health if you stop eating red meat or meat all together? Will you lose more weight that way?

Im borderline, I like poultry & seafood & dairy products like cheese & yogurt, but I dont really like red meat or ham, bacon etc. I could live off of just eating vegetables & fruit too though so Im in between & watching how animals get treated in slaughter houses really disgusts me & that pushes me to want to become a vegan, but would I be a vegan if I ate seafood & dairy???
