My muscles hurt after a workout, how many days should i take off working out?


i did intense workout 2 days in a row, mainly weight lifitng dumbells, bench press, tricep dips, and some pushups, (i do warm ups before workout and drink protein shakes after workout) im 20 male uk, and a vegeterian.

whats hurting now is the side of my hips going up towards my back and back of my arm.
what can this be?

also, how many days day off should i take before i workout again?
