I’ve gone vegeterian as I’ve come to awareness of how animals are treated. Wondering.how is soy milk made?

I know that other milk I used to drink was milked from a cow. I know that soy milk is derived from the the soy plant. Yet…how do they get ” milk ” from a plant? I guess technically it might be called soy juice just as there is orange juice, carrot juice. Is soy milk made the same way…pressed plants to get the juice from it? If so….why is it called soy MILK ?
.
” Unicornf(airie) “. . . Excuse me for saying this…but ” What the heck ? ! ! ” If a person does’nt eat anything that was once a living animal because of the disocovery of how they were treated. . .so the person goes vegerterian. You express about the feelings of plants? ! ! What is a person to eat to keep their bodies alive if you seem to be expressing to not eat plants either. Or were you simply being ‘ funny ‘ ?

” Michael ” . . . funny…your reply made me laugh…I liked that.

And…the other replies…thanks so much much…I now know. I’ve gone vegeterian and am now drinking soy (milk)…yet…I’m not looking to actually process, cook and make the soy (milk)…I’ll leave that to others. I’ll simply buy it already made in the store.. . . OR . . . I’ll go find a special soy bean with utters and milk it myself as you said is done Michael…funny. Thanks to all for replies.
