when i was a vegetarian i didnt eat as much as i used to and i felt i was doing a good deed by not eating meat. i didnt like vegetables so i didnt eat them or meat. they have fake meat lolz i thought it tasted the exact same!

Typically a vegetarian would consume more, as nutrients such as protein are harder to obtain.

They consume less food overall. Cattle ranching – the absolute worst of all – uses up many resources, and its wasteful. People in developing countries rarely eat beef: its too expensive and a waste of resources. The land upon which cattle graze could be better used growing crops – like soybeans – and in so doing feeding many more people.

Some do, Some don’t.

Since it takes between 11 and 16 pounds of grain and soybeans to produce one pound of beef, meat eaters consume more.

I dunno about the individuals, but as a Vegetarian, I save a ton of water and grain that would otherwise go to livestock. The resources that go into America’s cattle industry alone could feed something like 4 billion people. So yeah.
Marketing Strategies
It depends on whether they consume less or more.
