Do any vegeterian/vegan people have pets.what do you feed them?

Is there special food for them?
I just assumed that some vegans wouldn’t want to spend their money or contribute to products that are made from animals.

But I guess in that case, they just wouldn’t get pets.

I have budgies, so they eat seeds and fruit. We will be getting 2 guinea pigs soon, so they will eat vegetarian pellets, fruit, and vegetables.

cat food.

cats are not omnivores. they are carnivores. they need meat. i may not agree with how the meat is made, but i’m not going to put my cats health in danger. me, i don’t need to eat meat, but they do.

We are people too you know……..just because we don’t eat meat doesn’t make us any different on what are views of pets are! I have a dog and you can get vegeterian food but they are natural carnivorious and it is better to feed them not all vegetarian food!! I do feel sick when dishing out chicken canned for my dog but i can bear it for her! ;)

We have a dog, a cat, 2 snakes, 4 turtles, and a lizard. We feed all our babies what they need to be healthy and do not believe it’s fair or safe to impose our beliefs on them.

I’m mom to a 17-year-old cat. I’ve had her for longer than I’ve been veg, and she is a CAT, so I feed her natural pet foods that are meat-based. She needs meat to survive, I do not.

That said, she does show some interest in human food–especially potatoes and crackers.
